APPLICATION FOR THE $1000 CALVARY REVIVAL CHURCH OF

CHESAPEAKE AGAPE SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is awarded based on your academic standing, your service to the church and your service to your community.

A total of two (2) scholarships will be awarded. A $1000 Scholarships will be awarded to one student in each of the following categories:

a. One graduating high school senior

b. One active college student

ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS:

All requirements must be met at time of deadline, April 1, 2008.

Applicant must be:

1. A graduating high school senior who has been accepted to an accredited college or trade school (excluding paid apprenticeship programs) OR currently enrolled in an accredited college or trade school (must provide Acceptance/Notification letter from school)
2. A confirmed member of CRC Chesapeake
3. Actively involved in a ministry (must provide letter of recommendation from ministry leader)
4. A graduating student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and a college student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2. (must provide copy of school transcript, can be unofficial)

Applicants will be required to write an essay on one of the following topics (minimum of 1000 words)

How would pursuing a higher education better equip you to fulfill CRCC's vision, "Reaching, Teaching and Releasing hurting people through the power of Jesus Christ!"?  (Please reference Scripture)

Why does GOD call HIS people to be good stewards of the money they earn?  In what ways does it impact their relationship with HIM and others?  (Please reference Scripture)
